    Thank you to all in this group and your interest in Battery Safety.  I'm happy to be a resource to anyone, and we appreciate your involvement.

    One thing we discussed at the last meeting was whether we would like for NAATBatt, and this committee, to issue a comment on the CPSC proposed rule change to require e-bike battery packs to meet certain requirements, which include the UL standard plus a few additions.  Soteria Battery Innovation Group published a comment which suggests that the requirement for non-propagation be extended to batteries down to 300 Wh (from 1,000 Wh) or any battery intended to move a person.  Without belaboring the point, our thoughts are outlined here:  https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/stronger-federal-standard-e-bike-batterieswith-two-important-morin-mqtbe/?trackingId=oZobgnRGQZ%2BUdt5p8kSwPw%3D%3D 

    You can comment here, or send a private message to me if you are interested in having NAATBatt propose a comment for the rule change, and what differences we would like to propose.  We'd love to have NAATBatt support for our proposal, but also want to open it up for other discussion, and there is no need at all for the comments to be parallel.
